Overview
Dr. Cindy Maxwell is a maternal-fetal medicine specialist at Mount Sinai Hospital and a professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the University of Toronto. She also serves as Vice President, Medical Affairs and System Transformation, and Lead Medical Executive at Women’s College Hospital.
Her clinical and research interests include pregnancies affected by obesity, malignancy, gastrointestinal disorders, and social determinants of health. She is Program Director for the Pregnancy Obesity Medicine and Surgery Fellowship in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Sinai Health and the University of Toronto.
Dr. Maxwell led the Obesity Stream of the FIGO (International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics) Committee on the Impact of Pregnancy and Long-Term Health.
